Lovely recipe for homemade meatballs to make your dinner complete. Also great in combination with a nice peace of bread / panini.

Homemade Meatballs

Ingredients / Shopping list:

Easy way to cook Homemade Meatballs

  1. Chop up the 1/2 onion and garlic in small pieces
  2. Put the minced meat in a bowl
  3. Add 1 egg to the bowl
  4. Add the minced meat herbs (you can make it yourself or buy it in a package) to the bowl
  5. Add a bit of salt and black pepper to the bowl
  6. Add the onion to the bowl
  7. Add the garlic to the bowl
  8. Start mixing it with your hands while adding bread-crumbs untill the mixture becomes dry enough to stay in shape ( ;) ). When you mix and make it in 1 large ball you should be able to get the bowl 'clean'
  9. Start turning the mixture in 4 or 6 smaller meatballs and leave them in the bowl
  10. Put a casserole on the heater (mid heat)
  11. Add 75gr of butter to the casserole (you can always add some more while cooking)
  12. Wait for the butter to melt/turn lightly brown
  13. Add the meatballs to the casserole
  14. Make sure the meatballs get an even brown color on all sides
  15. Put the lid on the casserole and leave them in for about 15 minutes (turn them around a couple times)
  16. Enjoy your meatballs!

Tips / Plating:

Make sure you keep the bottom of the pan filled with a nice layer of melted butter.
