My mom makes this for us. I like the sourness of the lime, with the texture of the chopped peanuts and roasted cocos.

Chinese Cabbage with Chicken

Ingredients / Shopping list:

Easy way to cook Chinese Cabbage with Chicken

  1. Start by making your rice, it will take longer then the chicken / cabbage
  2. Chop onion into thin slices
  3. Prepare garlic
  4. Heat big backing pan, sear the chicken, this will take about 6 minutes
  5. add onion / garlic, stir for 2-3 minutes
  6. slice half of the chinese cabbage into 1cm thick strings
  7. add cabbage to pan, the cabbage will reduce bij 60% so fill the pan up as much as possible + add the juice of 3/4 lime, stir
  8. add 2 tablespoons of kerry powder, let it cook for a few minutes, sti
  9. Time to roast your coconut rasp, this only takes 3 minutes in a hot pan, be sure to stir it because it will burn easily
  10. cut the cashew-nuts into smaller pieces (optional)
  11. turn the stove off


Pro version

  1. Put rice on first, Heat the pans
  2. Add chicken, onion, garlic
  3. Add sliced cabbage + kerry powder + lime-juice (3/4), stir around for a few minutes
  4. While stirring, roast coconut, chop up cashew-nuts
  5. Plate it up, you have 1/4 of left for decoration

Tips / Plating:

  1. Watch the coconut roasting closely, it will burn in matter of seconds if you forget to stir it
  2. Add rice to plate
  3. Add yellow cabbage/chicken mixture on top\
  4. Add roasted coconut / peanuts
  5. Add slice of lime on top
